Peter supports communication and dissemination efforts that make Aquaya’s research more accessible. He helps to share Aquaya’s high-level outputs with international stakeholders and enhance analyses by developing user-friendly visuals. Peter supports Aquaya’s brand awareness through social media management, playing a key role in maintaining Aquaya’s online presence.
Prior to joining Aquaya, Peter specialized in digital communications, with experience in both the private and public sectors. His previous work included marketing and communication efforts for corporate organizations, social enterprises, research programs, parastatals, and government entities. Most recently, he was a social media executive at Securex Agencies (Kenya) Limited, leading digital marketing strategies while enforcing communications policies. He also served as a team leader for a practical skills project during his studies, which showcased how the Kisumu Water and Sanitation Company has adopted different models and approaches to improving water, sanitation, and hygiene in low-income settlements in Kisumu County, Kenya.
Peter has a BA in communication and media technology with information technology from Maseno University, Kenya, where he specialized in public relations.
