Value of Water and Sanitation

We create the knowledge that drives safe water and sanitation to vulnerable populations.

More than 3.4 million people die each year from water, sanitation, and hygiene-related causes, and diarrheal disease is the second leading cause of death for children under five years old. Diarrhea is also a leading cause of malnutrition in children under five.

Aquaya was founded to address this global public health crisis.

Improving access to better WASH services is essential for healthy and humane living conditions. Sustainable WASH systems are catalysts for progress in every sector from global health, education, gender, economic development, and the environment.
